Quotes and bookings
How do I request a quote?
There are three ways: message us on WhatsApp at +58 424 321 1516, fill in the quote form on any package or on our contact page, or visit our office in Maracay. Tell us the destination, dates, number of travelers and where you're starting from.
When will I hear back?
We're open Monday to Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Venezuela time (UTC-4). If you write outside those hours, we'll reply as soon as we're back. Some quotes depend on hotels, airlines or tour operators, and we'll let you know if one takes a little longer.
Why do some packages say “Price on request”?
Because the rate depends on the date, occupancy, lodging and each supplier's availability. We'd rather give you a real, up-to-date price in your quote than publish one we can't honor. When a package has a published rate, it shows as “From”.
What does a “From” price mean?
It's the lowest reference rate for that package, in US dollars (USD), under the conditions shown on the page. Your final price depends on dates, number of travelers and the options you choose, and it's confirmed in your quote.
Do prices include taxes?
It depends on the service. Some rates don't include VAT or other taxes. Your quote spells out what is and isn't included, so there are no surprises.
Which payment methods do you accept?
Payment methods and terms are shared with each quote. Ask one of our travel advisors on WhatsApp at +58 424 321 1516 and we'll walk you through the options available for your booking.
Can I pay or book directly on the website?
No. On the website you request a quote and an advisor gets in touch to confirm the details. We never ask for payment or passport details on the website: those are handled directly with an advisor.
When is my booking confirmed?
When a Sorocua advisor confirms your booking with the list of included services and the conditions that apply. A request sent through the website is not yet a booking.
What is the reference code I receive for?
When you send a request through the website you get a code that identifies your quote. Mention it when you message us on WhatsApp so we can find your request faster.

Can I visit the office without an appointment?
Yes, you're welcome during office hours. If you want an advisor to have your proposal ready, message us on WhatsApp beforehand or leave your request on the form.
Flights
Do you sell domestic and international flights?
Yes. We quote and issue domestic and international tickets. Tell us your route, dates and number of passengers, and we'll send you the available options.
Is the price I see on the website the final ticket price?
No. It's an estimated quote in USD, for reference only and non-binding. Fares, taxes, baggage and availability are subject to confirmation by Agencia de Viajes y Turismo Sorocua at the time of ticketing. An advisor confirms the actual fare before issuing.
Why can a fare change between the quote and ticketing?
Airlines adjust fares based on occupancy and dates, and seats in each fare class sell out. That's why the price is only locked in once the ticket is issued. The sooner you confirm, the more options there usually are.
Does my ticket include baggage?
It depends on the airline and the fare. Some include a checked bag and others only carry-on. We'll tell you what each option includes when we quote.
Documents and insurance
What documents do I need to travel within Venezuela?
Venezuelan citizens generally need a valid national ID card (cédula); foreign visitors should carry their passport. Minors may need extra documents or authorizations, especially if they aren't traveling with both parents. Check with an advisor on WhatsApp before your trip.
What do I need to travel abroad?
At a minimum, a valid passport; many countries also require a minimum validity period, a visa depending on your nationality, or health requirements. We'll guide you on your destination's requirements, but every traveler should confirm them with the consulate or official authority before traveling.
Do you sell travel insurance?
Yes. We are Interwelt's representatives in Aragua state; Interwelt is a travel assistance company. We'll help you choose a plan based on your destination, trip length and age.
Is travel insurance mandatory?
Some countries require it for entry or for a visa application; in others it's optional. Even when it isn't required, it protects you against medical and travel mishaps. Ask us what applies to your destination.
Packages, day trips and groups
What is a “full day”?
In Venezuela, a “full day” is a day trip with transfers and activities organized according to the plan, such as the La Ciénaga boat tour. Each page shows the pickup point or area, what's included and what's paid separately.
Where do packages and day trips depart from?
It depends on the experience. On some tours the operator picks you up at your lodging; for other packages, the departure point is arranged according to where you are in Venezuela. Times are confirmed before the trip.
Do you organize trips for groups and companies?
Yes. We quote trips for families, groups of friends and corporate travel. Some tours only run on weekdays with a minimum number of people. Tell us your group size and dates, and we'll send you a proposal.
Do you offer international packages?
Yes. We quote trips to Europe, the United States, the Caribbean, Mexico, Colombia, Brazil, Argentina and Asia, among others, with flights, hotel and transfers as you need them.
What other services do you offer?
Besides packages, day trips and flights, we quote cruises, car rentals, scenic flights and corporate travel, subject to supplier availability.
Changes and cancellations
What happens if it rains or the sea is rough on my excursion day?
Safety comes first. If the weather, the sea or the authorities don't allow the activity, the operator may reschedule or adjust it. We'll let you know on WhatsApp and explain your options under the service's conditions.
Can I change my travel dates?
It depends on each supplier's conditions (hotel, airline or tour operator) and on how much notice you give. Ask an advisor on WhatsApp and we'll tell you whether it's possible and what costs apply.
What is your cancellation policy?
Each service has its own conditions, which we share before you confirm your booking. You can read the general criteria in our cancellation policy and check your specific case with an advisor on WhatsApp.
